The Music Centre

BLAIRGOWRIE MUSIC CENTRE was established in 1972 at the Blairgowrie Primary School. Today it is one of the best known Music Centres in Gauteng.

Our philosophy at the Music Centre is to give all our pupils a sound musical education, thereby developing a positive love of music. We also believe that music should be fun, and that our pupils must enjoy what they are doing. Many of our past pupils play in orchestras around the country and abroad. The BMC is an orchestral centre, staffed by professional musicians.. Lessons are given to individuals, as well as groups. BMC offers lessons in:

*Piano/Keyboard

*Guitar

*Theory

*Voice Training

*Violin

*Clarinet

*Saxophone

*Cello

*Recorder

*Flute

Dancing and Karate

Ballet, Highland Dancing and Karate are also taught by private teachers in the afternoons. Many of our learners have represented the area and the province in their particular activity.
